Chapter One
It was a lovely sunny morning. Lindsey Waters woke up in the top bunk. Clara was in the second bunk. I'm really looking forward for this stay, thought Lindsey. Aunt Simimie's things are soooooo old fashion! She looked from the bottom bunk. Her cousin Clara was there, sleeping softly. Her snores were little and calm, she also had a stuffed up rabbit in her arms. Lindsey smiled. It felt weird not to be with her best magical friend Kat again, but at least she had her cousin. But, it was also hard starting a new school. Though no one knew her secret, she had powers, same as Kat and permanently owned Dragon Fire. Kat owned Mermaid's Powers. Clara knew her secret, which was good so Lindsey wouldn't feel so personal. The trouble is, Clara's mum and dad, didn't know. Suddenly, Lindsey remembered something- The Charm Spell! She quickly got up without a sound and got dressed. She didn't want anybody watching while she does the Charm Spell. Not even Clara. "Hi, Linds!" Clara yawned from the bottom bunk. "Hello, Clara," said Lindsey, her back to Clara, getting two white candles, a piece of paper and one black felt tip pen. "I'm going to the bathroom." Admitted Clara, opening the door. Lindsey nodded and breathed a sigh of relief. Time for the Charm Spell… Before she began, she closed the door, confused, because there was no lock. Lindsey groaned. Clara will be here any minuet! She quickly used her magic without thinking. "Door lock!" she recited, sweating, putting out her palm, hoping it will lock. It did. Lindsey smiled and got started. First, she lighted two candles then- "Open up, Lindsey! I need to get Roger the Rabbit and I need to get changed!" she suddenly heard Clara's voice, banging on the door. "Just a second!" cried Lindsey, quickly writing the name Jafra's USA Catholic School down with her black pen on the piece of white paper. "Open UP!" cried Clara, still banging. "Lindsey!!" Lindsey shouted back, "I need to change! And it'll take a while because I'm wearing my new dress!" she lied. Then she quickly recited a spell out loud: For this I say, give me some luck today!
She repeated it five times when Clara starting thumping down the stairs, crying. "Oh no! She's telling Aunt Simimie!" gasped Lindsey.
