The Timez 3#

The Timez 3#

The whole school is gossiping about the latest rumors and Kit is one of them.

(If you haven't read The Timez 1# and 2#, please scroll down but read 1# first please! Thank you, Kat.)

So, if you've read The Timez 2#, I've totally blown it for Amy. But now that we're in Year Seven, it's getting worse. We've been friends for only three days and seven minutes and now, she's been avoiding me! But luckily, Tally's back being my friend, which is good but also bad because of Amy. But now, Amy has an entirely new group of math-lover friends and I'm pretty sure the nasty rumors and secrets of me are getting touchy to me and now, from being nice to angry to Amy, I really want payback. Though, the problem is that payback and stuff is not my thing.

But so far, middle school is OK. But don't get me wrong, I still HATE IT! I wish I was back in primary school.

Chapter 1

It seems like I'm in a different world. Ever since new meditation classes have come, I'm more relaxed. Ms. New, our meditation teacher is more like a genetic freak. "I mean," as I tell Amy, my best friend as we head toward the cafeteria. "The way Ms. New dresses up like. She wears the long-up-to-my-leg dress that princesses wore in the 13th century. And the way she speaks about meditation!" Tally chuckles and tries to mimic Ms. New's voice. "You're on a cloud…being calm and petite! Feel light and never bite back…it's all the part of our meditation serves!" she mimics, moving her hands in a wavy way as she did it. I laugh and I got a tray. Tally wiped her hands on her white jeans. She looks amazing. Brown hair in a ponytail, jeany jacket and bangles. I look like a shipwreck, as usual. My messy dark brown hair was out, my jeans with a fat whole at the leg and my blue jacket had a jam stain on it. We lined up and got our food and carried ourselves to a spare table near the window. "Wand down, squiggly mascara. We're on our way to Harrington Road!" the two boys in my history class, Dan and Sam were near our table. Sam was reading that phrase from a red book he was reading but Dan was carrying both trays, looking bored. "Wanna come sit here?!" I yell at them. They both turn to me, looking stunned. Omigod, I thought to myself. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Why did I do that? It was like I was flirting with them, when I really am not. Amy, my 'ex-friend' was sitting on a table with a group of other nerds, who ace their math test Everytime. When they heard what I said, they turn to me and Tally and smirks. I felt my stomach jump. Amy was looking like she was ready to giggle, but she just turns back to the table and continues to chat with her nerdy friends. Tally is looking at me as if she could kill me. "Sure!" Dan says cheerfully and makes his sit. Sam follows him and sits next to him. I look over at Tally. She gave me that look: Why did you do that for? Their jerks! I was praying for lunch to be over, but as usual, it tooked forever. We were not talking or anything. Just, sitting there in silence, around heaps of noise. Dan clears his throat to try and make a conversation. "Um…so, did you ace the math test, Tally?" he asks Tally. My stomach felt like it flipped. Oh, God! Tally's going to make a rude answer and that will be bad. I was crossing me fingers under the table, hoping the bell will just ring. It didn't. "No," answers Tally rudely.

Chapter 2

After lunch, the teachers let us go outside but Tally had to practice a school musical she was joining so I was on my own. I walk through the oval. I see Amy's nerdy friends, all sitting in a circle. One of her friends, Rakia Smith, a dorky girl with pigtails in plaits, dark, dark hair and her yellow t-shirt looks up and giggles. The rest stop scribbling on their math homework. "Hi Kit! Ur, where's your boyfriend?" she mocks me. I want the grass to open and swallow me up. They did see how I asked Dan and Sam if they wanted to sit on Tally and I's table. "Um…I don't have one." I mummer back, keeping my head down. But I could still see Amy, looking green in the face from trying not to laugh. I keep looking down. "Nu-hu! She has two boyfriends! I saw!" mouthy and nerdy Sarah comments. I walk away, is the only thing I could think of doing. The nerds don't follow. Thank goodness.

Tally is back from her musical thing. It's Sunday and she's going to the local pool with me. "Seriously, Kit! On Friday remember how you asked Dan and Sam about sitting with us? That was totally lame. They are the top two dorks in the school!" she complains. I sigh. Sometimes, I just don't get Tally. "Well, you didn't have to say 'no' rudely to them, you know!" I point out. Tally shrugs as we walk to the outdoor pool. Splash! She jumped in. I didn't understand why. Usually, she just hops in, not jump, making a hideous sound. Suddenly, I felt a raucous shove. Someone pushed me back hard which made me fall into the water. That moment was horrid. It was nasty Melanie and Janine with their pretty bikinis and whatever and brilliant suntan. Once I popped my head up the water, they were laughing like crazy. Tally was on the grass, looking guilty. A few guys from our school whooped and laughed. Most are year eights. I'm now in year seven. This is humiliation. Most of the water was up my nose because I did a roly-poly as I fell in. It also hurt my eyes, because I forgot my goggles. I didn't want to face Melanie and Janine, so I follow Tally to the counter to get some treats. "That was horrible, what they did," Tally says as she places a five-dollar bill on the counter. I just nod. My eyes still hurt. "Two packets of tomato chips and one bottle of lemon soda and another bottle of plain water, oh, and four mini sherbet lollies, thanks!" explained Tally to the counter lady. The lady nods and got set to work. "You said you wanted plain water. Didn't you Kit?" Tally asks me as we wait. I was still rubbing my eyes. "Yes," I answered. We got our food and set our towels on the grass to lie on. Tally put her shades on and chuckled. She offers me some mini sherbet lollies. I shake my head. I wasn't very hungry. Suddenly, Melanie and Janine came up to us. "Hey, Tally, does Kit have a boyfriend?" Janine asks. Tally frowns then looks at me. "Why?" I butt in, before Tally says anything. "Oh, cos' Amy and her gang told us that you do. With Ur, what's his name-Dan? Elena and Mary and Fiona know to. On Friday, Amy and her gang with Rakia told them. Didn't you know? Oh, then Elena told Ginny then Ginny told…" Melanie says quickly. "Wait!" I scream at her. "Amy's spreading rumors about me? No way," I say at them. But I could tell that even though Melanie and Janine really hate me, I could see that they weren't joking.

Chapter 3

"Kit, would you wait up?" Tally calls after me on Monday morning as the bus left. I couldn't blame Tally. She had nothing to do with this. It was all the nerd gang. Amy, I knew she hated me. But why would she speard nasty rumors like this? Just because I asked Dan that if he wants to sit with us? "Kit! Kit! It's a good thing to have a boyfriend, you know! We're in seventh grade! It's cool!" Tally shouts after me. I scold. I really hate Amy now. It goes from apologizing then hating her. "Yeah, but Dan's not my boyfriend! Amy's nerdy gang got it all wrong! And for your information, having boyfriends in seventh grade is so not cool! Especially in this school!" I shout back. Suddenly, when I reached homeroom, my mobile phone starts ringing. I grumble as everyone chants, "Kit has a boyfriend! Kit has boyfriend!" I look at the phone. The message was from Amy:

You have a boyfriend! When's the date gonna come by? On a Saturday night will be cool! Especially with lots of roses Dan's gonna GIVE U! LOL! J From, Amy, Rakia, Daisy, Kite.

I groan as I read it. I show it to Tally. She smiles weakly. She obviously thinks it's funny. But it's not! When Mrs. Daniels told us our lesson was going to start, I felt calmer. At least no one will chant on me.

Chapter 4

Tally_13: Hey, Kit! R ya feelin' alright?

Kittykat_Kit13: No. I don't think I want 2 face school 2morrow. Everyone will just get on with that ugly rumor about me! L

Tally_13: But, they'll probably forget about it! Calm down, girl! It doesn't matta!

Kittykat_kit13: But the students in our school don't forget about ANYTHING!!!

Tally_13: It's alright. Amy's such a cow, anyway. She's really nerdy and she's a nerd math freak! Who cares wat they say?

Kittykat_kit13: But the WHOLE school cares!

Tally_13: Don't worry! Told u? Amy is a bad friend to hang out with!!!! That's wat I warned u bout in da 1st plce!

Kittykat_kit13: L
L
L
L
L

Tally_13: Oh, Kit! Anyway, wat r u doing right now? :D

Kittykat_kit13: I feel sick in the stomach. I finished loads of homework, downloading some cool tunes but feel like puking! L : K

Tally_13: U know wat, wat bout you get ur beauty sleep and relax?

Kittykat-kit13: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I can't! U know what? If I tell mom, then she'll tell the principal then he'll tell the WHOLE SCHOOL IN ASSEMBLE!

Tally_13: Ur worrying 2 MUCH!

Kittykat-kit13: I'm going to bed: S

Tally_13: K. Goodnight!

Chapter 5

So, I've gone and done it. I hate Amy so much now. I am walking to school alone because Tally has a doctor's appointment. I feel sick, I feel like puking. I didn't want anyone to see me so I decide to walk behind the school halls. That way, no one will see. I was walking fast to homeroom in first period. Suddenly, I see something slivery and flashy on the ground. When the bell went, I stood still then when the corridor was clear, I deicide to walk over to the sliver thing. I pick it up-Oh my, it was a phone! I gasp. It was Amy's phone. I hesitate; whether to just put it back or keep it for a while. I did suggestion No. 2. I shove it in my pocket and race to first period class.

After first period and second, I stroll to the loos, thinking. What should I do with this phone? I lock myself in a toilet cubicle and flip open Amy's phone and punch some buttons. There was that message she sent me that other day. I felt like deleting it, but I couldn't. but I could send a message to someone else. But who? Then I remember what Amy did to me and I kick the toilets walls. I felt mischievous. I wrote a text message to Rakia. The problem? I had NO idea who to pretend. My plan was that I'll send the text to Rakia, but it actually says another name on the screen. Yes, yes, it was perfect way to wreck their friendship. Then, Rakia will tell Kite and Daisy what Amy (I) sent. I punched a few keys. Oh, hey, Wendy! How r u doing? I'm studying 4 this BIG TIME math test. You know my NEW friend, Rakia? Yeh, well she is such a big, fat jerk! She thinks she's so smart but she's not. you should c hr belly. It's humongous! She's such a dirty, fat, jerky moron! Amy x

I read over the message. Wendy was Amy's primary school friend before. It was perfect. Now all I'll do is send it accidently-on-purpose send it to Rakia's number. I put on Rakia's number and hit send. Then, I went to a bench outside and popped it there next to Rakia's class. So, she could grab her phone before someone nicks it.

Chapter 6

In our P.E lesson, I feel like some commotion was happening. I HATE cheerleading but after our practice, I went to the far corner. Amy, Rakia, Daisy and Kite was there, crowding around Rakia's phone. I hide a smile. Rakia was going mad and yelling at Amy. Amy was red in the face.

"But, but, I didn't send…"

"Oh, yes you did! Little do we know you made a big mistake and sent it to me?"

"But I…"

"Hey, guys!" I distract them. I was wearing my cheerleading clothes, just like the rest of the girls. I threw my pompoms on the grass. I hated the pink pompoms so much. Amy looks up, like she's about to cry. "But if you didn't, who did?" Kite snaps loudly. "I didn't!" shouts Daisy. "Well, I certainly didn't!" Kite shouts. I flinch and secure my ponytail. But, Melanie, who was surprisingly our coach, saw me and yelled, "Hey, Kitrina! Hair out!" she yells at me. I quickly took my band out. "Then it has to be SOMEONE! It HAS to be you, Amy! It was from your number!" spits Rakia madly. Then, Dan and Sam approaches. I groan. Then, Rakia forgot all about the phone incident and mocks, "Kit's boyfriend, Kit's boyfriend!" but Kite, Daisy and Amy didn't join in. The boys were doing there 'footy' unit. It was at LEAST better than this stupid cheerleading. "Then YOU did IT, Amy!" shouts Rakia. Amy had had enough. She turned red as tomato, tears running down her eyes. "I DIDN'T! Let's say Kit did it!" she yells so loud. I flinch some more. How did she…? Then I remembered. After I left her phone on that bench, I saw no one took it so I gave it to her. This was bad. I wish I never came. Dan and Sam had left their bottles or something near the bench. Rakia was taken aback. "Then WHO DID?!? Was it you, Kitrina?!" Rakia asks furiously. I look around for help but Tally was still at the doctors. "Um…." I mumble. "Well?"

"I didn't do it!" I murmur quietly. Great. Fibber. Where did that come from? "We better go," Dan mumbles to Sam. But Kite aback them. "No! no one's going until we find out WHO sent that text message!" she spits. I sigh. Well, what should I do? Our rest of cheerleading was going to continue in ten minutes. Sam and Dan begin to walk away when Daisy stops them. "Stop walking away! Your footy thing starts in 10 mins! We have a problem here!" Daisy snaps at both of them. I wanted to run away. The boys stay still. I rub my green eyes. "Wait. It HAS to be Kit. After all, she's the one who gave me my phone yesterday. Remember? Don't you, Kite?" Amy explains, tears still running from her eyes. Rakia looks at me as if she wants an answer. I suck my cheek bones. "OK, OK, look, guys. I did send it. But it was because of that rumor. I'm not jealous, trying to break up your friendship but there are heaps of other reasons," I say flatly. Amy looks at me sadly. It wasn't really fair. Half of me was ashamed of myself and the other half wanted to scream and Amy for starting to whole issue herself. Rakia looks as if she could kill me. "We should go," says Dan flatly. "No!" yells, Rakia, Kite and Daisy. I didn't want boys to be in this problem. "Maybe they should," I tell them. "This is our problem, not theirs," I try to talk Rakia out of the boys staying here. It didn't work. "Then could you tell me, Kitrina Traveski, why are there hundreds of reasons you sent that horrid message?" Rakia glared. "Er, do you want me to name them or is it multiple choice?" I ask dryly. Kite and Daisy glowers. "Hey, girls! It's training time!" I heard Melanie's voice. I look at Amy. Then at Dan and Sam. Then at Rakia, Kite and Daisy.

Chapter 7

I tell Tally the problem yesterday. "Who cares?" she points out. "They all deserve it!"

I shrug and look out the window of the caf. It was snowing a little. This was unusual because it's usually the time of Christmas which it snows. I feel like crying. Rakia moved schools last night but I didn't really know why. I bet it's because of me. Daisy got the flu so she's not here and Kite has extra tutoring practice today so she's not here. So poor Amy had to wander around the caf alone. I feel sorry for her but I know that she won't accept it when I invite her to sit. I sigh and push the pasta around glumly.

After lunch caf, we were allowed to go outside but I didn't feel like it. But I did, just without Tally. "Ur, Tally? Can I just walk around the yards alone?" I ask her solemnly. She nods and smiles a little smile. I got out my coat from the cloakrooms and wandered around in the snow. I didn't care if it was freezing or whatever. I feel miserable. Year seven totally sucks. "Hi Kit," I hear a voice behind him. I spin around. It's Dan. I groan and walk a few steps away from him but I stop and spin around again. Stupid, stupid, dumbo. What was I doing? Avoiding him or not? "Wait. Amy told me to send this to you," I says a few seconds later. He gives me a note and I read it: Dear Kit, Are you still my friend? Well, Rakia moved because her family and Kite's family were feuding and if you think that it was because of you, it wasn't, honestly. What happened yesterday, forget about it? I'm so sorry that I and my gang made up a rumor about you. I really am. Will you forgive me? Please reply if you can. J Love, Amy

I smile as I read it. I took an orange pen from my pocket, leaned on a tree and scribbled something on the sheet. Yeah, but do you forgive me? I'm really sorry that I sent such a 'horrid' message and pretended it was you. I really am sorry. Wanna be friends again?

I handed Dan the note back and smiled. "You can give to her," I say eventually. He smiles back a little smile then runs off. For a moment, I knew everything was going to be OK.

The Timez 2#

The Timez 2#

Kit earns a friend back…but loses one again…

Kit has two problems of her own to take care of…

If you have read one, you'll get the idea, if not, please scroll down!!!

It's nearly time for Water Bridge's Christmas play! I don't know what to do- for a start; my new best friend (Not Tally, my ex-friend.), Amy really wants me to try out with her for this high school play. What should I do? For a start; I'm not even sure if I want to, but mom's also egging me to do it. So, I sign up. My Uncle Phil is inviting me to his farm to go horse-riding on the exact day of the Christmas Play! What could I DO?!!! HELP!!!

Meanwhile, so has my ex-friend, Tally, Melanie and Janine, slobs are also signing up and they're trying their best to ruin my chances for me but things change. Now Tally's (My ex-friend for three terms!) sorry for ganging up on me and wants to be friends again but that means I earn back a friend…and lose one again… what can I DO???? HELP! Middle school is turning into a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!

Chapter 1

90+90=9 times 9+ 99=1 times 2 times 59=?

This is stupid. Long algebra sucks, so, thanks to Mrs. Daniels, my math teachers in third period, suggesting us to take a super long math test, I end up flunk it. I wish we could work with partners. My friend, Amy, (After a massive fight Tally and I had three terms ago.) who is a math freak; she is so good at math, I wish she could help me. I glance at the clock on the right-side of the wall- 9:36.a.m. C'mon, brain, think!!! I'm still up to the last question, thinking hard… "Times up!" Mrs. Daniel's voice booms up. I flinch. Great, I'll be like one of those fish in a pond, not knowing what to do. "That was easy!" Amy cried, wiping her hands on her jeans. I shrug and looked at the clock again and sigh. There was two more minutes until lunch…which means I have to face cafeteria food. I am lucky mom packed me my lunch. The bell rings. Great. I have to face my ex-friend; Tally, and her posh little friends, Melanie and Janine.

"Ew! Are we supposed to eat this?" Amy shrieks at the mushed beans, that have turned into gooey liquid and the mashed potato and pumpkin also mushed into liquid. I carry my tray and sigh at Amy. "Come on, Am. Hurry up and make your choice of food so we can get a free table!" I urge Amy every time in the caf. Amy kinda looks like a cool nerd. I mean, blue jeans, dangling green shirt and big, thick glasses and her auburn hair is in wild curls. Suddenly, I feel something mushy when Amy and I walk to a free table. Something mashed and mushed… I look over my shoulder and down below; I cannot believe it- a blob of mashed liquid potato and pumpkin was all over my butt jeans, mashed so much. I heard a few boys whistle and snicker as I walk pass. Tally and Melanie and Janine- I should've known. "Don't get it seriously, Kit," Amy tries to tell me as we walk to the grass area. "It was just a joke: Melanie and her drones getting attention!" I shrug and grumble-that was NOT helping. Suddenly, Melanie pumped infront of us, looking tanned, healthy and fierce, but she's laughing with Janine and Tally. "Ha-ha! You look like a mashed liquid coloring in the caf! You know, some people have some raw talent, like me- don't you know that there's a Christmas play coming along? Auditions are on Tuesday and please, Kitrina, don't let me down, please sign up! I'm sure you'll be a beauty!" she says in a fake girly girl voice. She's acting like she's my mother. "Yeah? You want me to enter?" I say, walking on with Amy. Amy pulls me away from them but Melanie, Janine and Tally weren't far behind. "Nope," says Janine a short time later, her red hair glittering in sunlight. "Not Mel! Ha! You thought it was Mel, didn't you? Well, it wasn't! Tally wants you to sign up! You'll blow them away! Ha!" I ignore them and walk on. But now, I'm confused. Why does Tally want me to sign up?

Chapter 2

"Well, it sounds like a great thing to do, Kitty, why don't you?"

"No, mom, please!"

"Well, it's such a great experience! C'mon, don't be shy!"

"I don't want to!"

"You will, cos' I'm signing you up!"

"No mom, PLEASE!"

Mom sighs, looking tired. She wants me to sign up this morning. It's Tuesday, audition day. I'm still in my jammies but mom is killing me. "Fine, Kitrina Thomas! Why don't we make a fine deal? You don't have to do your chores for one week if you sign up!" mum snaps. I jump up and down. "Yessssssss!" I yell at the top of my voice. A week with no chores! But then I remember-the play. I sigh and say goodbye to mom and catch the bus. Amy's signing up, too. "It's going to be SO cool, in fact! I heard that the Christmas play is based on a musical; I think it was High School Musical 2! Or was it 3?" Amy's totally cyclone about this Christmas musical. I grumble, in a moody way as the bus left us near the high school gates. Amy was trying to lighten me up. "C'mon!" she snaps. I sigh and just got on with it. The last thing I needed was to sing solo. Auditions were at 9 so there was five minutes. Amy pulls me to the music room theater. I look around. A big stage, three hundred chairs, red curtains, a bunch of other kids trying out and Omigod, there was Tally!!! Tally, my ex-friend who hangs out with girly girl Janine and Melanie! Amy's still pulling me to join onto the stage. Mrs. Vase, the director of the High School Musical 2 and 3 mix musical gave each and everyone our scripts. Once I got on, I walk over to Tally and show her the script. I was playing Gabriella, which was a main, and it means singing, which I HATE! "You're trying to do something, aren't you, Tally? Cos' if you are, I bet you need to suck it up and stop it! Do you understand me? Just stop! You were the one who arranged the scripts, aren't you? I was supposed to play Kelsi, obviously but I bet that you SNUCK in and arranged them!" my voice is going higher by second. I cannot believe I didn't realize it. Tally's eyes are full of tears. Dan and Sam, who were also auditioning were watching. But one IQ: Do they have to? I look again at the papers. I have to sing two songs and one more with everyone. Great. That was ALL I needed. Two solo songs. "OK, OK! People, you all know who you are playing! So, may I please have Gabriella on stage at the front to sing the first song?" Mrs. Vase is saying. I felt myself flinch. I look across the wing-Melanie and Janine was there. They're not auditioning, obviously but they are here to make their 'plan' in action for me to humiliate myself. I hear Mrs. Vase play that song on the piano. I didn't know what to do. Everyone there was watching me. I only sang three lines.

"But every color turns to grey

I'm leaving today, but I gotta do what's best for me

You'll be OK…"

Though it's really hard to mess up your lines so I tried my best to mess up in the chorus.

"I've gotta move on now and be who I am?

I just don't belong herreerrrre?

I LOPE do understand?"

But of course, I get away with it Everytime. Amy got the part of Taylor, and she's not happy about it. "I want to play Sharpay!" she told me when we had our lunch outside. "Tough luck," I tell her. "Melanie egged Mrs. Vase to sign up for the last minute so Melanie has Sharpay. Oh, and don't worry, you'll be great being Taylor. Think about it: only one song to sing that's NOT solo. Fewer lines but still, Amy doesn't get my point. Tally is playing Kelsi, because she has top marks in piano. I'm still thinking about quitting this Christmas play.

Chapter 3

I got a letter from Tally right now, this morning near the lockers. No, in MY locker, there was a note written in very pretty pink gel pen. It was Tally's writing. When I read it, I hear her usual friendly voice reading. That time when we were friends for so long…until now.

Dear
Kit,

I'm very sorry that I had ganged up on Melanie and Janine. I don't think that they like me anymore. I guess you were right- girly girl stuff, make-up, clothes and boys and hair is so not my thing! Mel got angry at me for not accepting her to paint my fingernails pink and take away a manicure. I really want to be best friends with you again but the problem is with Amy. I don't much like her and you know, she's a nerd. A math freak. I hate hanging out with her. What about you? I thought at the beginning of middle school you said that Amy was a nerd and she looks weird and nerdy and you know… so, I bet hanging out with her is just not good. After all, you said so yourself. Anyway, I am so sorry about the thing three terms ago. It was bad. Mel doesn't even like me anymore. Please be my friend. (Just not with Amy!)

Love, Tally

I couldn't believe this letter. This was the words that I wanted to hear a long time ago, before Amy came. I was happy with happy, cheerful tears. Even when the bell rang for fifth period, I was just still and stiff. "Oh, so I'm a nerd and I'm a weird math freak?" a voice pops up behind me. I gag and spin around. It's Amy, looking sad and teary. "Amy!" I say, surprised. Just then, Dan pops up beside me and grins. "Hi Kit! Are you going to rehearsal this afternoon?" he asks cheerfully, his brown hair shining. I look at him then at Amy. I had completely forgotten about the musical Christmas play. "Dan. I-I I'll tell you about it later, OK?" I say to him. He nods and goes away with his friend, Sam. The school corridor locker area is quiet with only Amy and I. "Forget it!" Amy whispers tearfully. I gasped as she walks quickly away to our math class. "Wait, Amy! I can explain!" I shout after her. But it's too late. She's made a run for it. I picture that image in my mind again. Amy's eyes were full of tears bursting to come out. Instead of going to my math class, I go to the loos. I cry and cry and cry. Middle school is totally turning up on me!

Chapter 4

I talk to mom about it. "I just don't know what to do! Amy's mad at me because I said she was a math freak and nerd last term but that's just because I was trying to be best friends with Tally, too! But when Tally and I broke up, I got Amy as a friend and just act normal but when I got that letter from Tally…things change. Especially since she saw that letter!" I cry to mom. Mom sighs and says, "Well, I see that you're trying too hard to be friends with both of them. Give both of them a rest for a day or two and both will chill out. Especially Amy, since she's mad and Tally's sad and hopeful of you being her friend again so, go find some other friends to hang out with, OK?" I nod and sigh and look out the window. I think about the solution mom gave me. But if I make new friends; won't I be best friends with the new friends? It was all so confusing.

Its lunch and Amy's totally ignoring me. First, I had to try my own plan. I had to explain to Amy. I follow her into the caf. "Amy, wait!" I yell. She snatches a tray from the rack and lines up. I got a tray too and lined up behind her. "Amy, I'm sorry…" I start but then she interrupts. "Don't talk to me!" she yells loudly. I put my head down. Dan was next to me, lining up. "What a coincidence," I mutter under my breath. "What was that?" Dan asks, curiously. "Nothing," I mutter back. Amy's gone to find a table to sit on. I look around anxiously for Tally. No sign of her. Instead, I go to Melanie and Janine's table and bang my tray on it. Janine was painting Melanie's nails a lilac color. "Where's Tally?" I glare at them suspiciously. "Oh really?" says Melanie innocently. "She's in the toilets sobbing like a reckless baby. All we care!" Janine adds smartly, fixing her perfect red hair and fringe. I gasp while they giggle. I race to the toilets to find Tally. She was in there, sobbing and gasping in a toilet cubicle. I knock on the loo door. "Tally?" I say quietly. I hear more crying. Hard ones. I had more problems to deal with. Suddenly my mobile phone starts ringing. Oh, now what? I look at the flash message. Hey, Kitty! How about a trip to my farm on Friday? GOES HORSE RIDING!!! YOU'RE FAVE THING! Uncle Phil

I groan while I hear Tally sob. That was the day of the school play! Gah! How many things have I got into?!

Chapter 5

Tally's stopped crying. "I just think I can't stand it!" she says to me after school. "Amy! I can't stand her!" I sigh for the hundredth time. "Couldn't you just like her?" I ask. We were at this ice-cream shop mom sent us here for a treat, since we're friends again. Tally has a cucumber ice-cream. I got a triple vanilla and single caramel and strawberry syrup. Tally licked her ice-cream. "You made her not like you. Do you get me?" I explained. Tally nods and gives another lick of the cream. But I continued, "Oh, and you made Amy hate me!"

"Yeah, but that wasn't my fault. You're the one who showed her the letter!" she shoots back. OK, that was true. But it was kinda by accident. "It was by accident. I didn't know she was peering over my shoulder!" I point out. Tally shrugs and doesn't say anything at all. "Time to go, girls!" Mom calls from the window of the shop. Tally and I scrambled to the door.

"I need to make it up to her,"

"Why are we in this, again?"

"Listen, Amy isn't speaking to me so here goes-give this note to her and run away, not saying anything. I don't care who does it, as long as it's not me or Tally because she's obviously just going to ignore us," I say to them. Dan and Sam were my only option. I tell them to give the note to Amy, not saying anything and I'll cross my fingers that she'll accept it. "GO!" I hissed when the bell for lunch went. Dan gobsmacked the letter from Sam and both went running to Amy's class. I drew a sigh of relief. I had quit the school play because mom let me because of our visit to Uncle Phil's Farm visit. Amy's STILL not speaking to me! I can't believe this. I just hope the plan will work.

Chapter 6

Well, the plan backfired or should I say: DIDN'T WORK!!!! Amy's still REGRETING IT! What should I DO?!

The Timez

The Timez

Are like whatever…

It's my first day of middle school but they are not like back in primary school. Lots of things have changed!

Mean kids are on the run and what's worse: One of my best friends ever have become one of the mean kids and what's more worse is that she's become one of their gang! I'm like The Loner at school. How can life get any worse?

Chapter 1

I wait at the bus stop infront of my house and sighed. It seems to take ages. Wasn't the timetable 7:25am? I dig my nose in my favorite book. It was Honey Bunny, do you have some Money? It was about a kid whose life spent in a huge mansion when one day, a group of bank robbers come and destroy the house so that kid and his parents had to live along the streets when one day… "Hello Kit!" a cheerful voice called to me. I looked up from the book and grinned. It was my best friend ever, Tally. She's looking great for her first day of middle school. Her plain brown hair had yellow streaks in it and she looked really tanned and strong. As for me, well, I look like a ship wreck. I got very dark hair with light red streaks. I wear a blue T-shirt and normal jeans. Tally and I got our streaks during the holidays in a hairdresser. Tally was wearing track-pants and a yellow blouse. "I was thinking if the bus was ever going to come," I smile back, lunging my back-pack on my shoulders. Suddenly, our bus comes around the corner. Tally grinned and we both hopped on the bus. I'm feeling quite nervous for middle school. We look in the bus. It was a crazy place. Teenagers in high school were in it, throwing food and stuff to eachother and the high school boys were yelling out at the top of their voices. Tally points to a spot at the back of the bus which was empty. "Let's sit over there!" she says. I nodded and got hit by a spitball. I tried to ignore it. It was thrown by Ned Smith, a senior at Water Park High School. We made our seat and the bus drove off. I flinched nervously. "I read this book over the holidays. It's called: Great Tips for People's First day of Middle School. It's really stupid. It was written by Greg Brown. One of the tips says: In middle school, never stop smiling and another is, never stop asking teachers stuff. Isn't that lame?" I say. Tally laughed and threw her head back. If Tally was going to be with me for the whole day, I knew I was going to be fine. But I guess that's not what I was accepting… OK, OK, you know that book? The great tips on middle school stuff? Mum bought it for me and she says to follow its tips and I'll be fine. I don't think so, though. We look in the period paper map we got in our hands. "I-I, I'm-I guess in first period, I'm in some math class in E24, wherever that is with Mrs. Daniel. Great start to a new year!" cried Tally, pausing infront of the girls' bathroom. I tried to follow Tally's tracks. But she was walking way fast. It was so different in middle school. I suddenly feel shorter and smaller. It looked like that the seventh and eighth graders are huge giants. I frown as I look at the map sheet as the first bell rang for first period. "Oh, I'm in some history class with Mr. Hillens in A19." I explained as the corridor hallway got quieter. Only two boys I guess were also new to middle school were talking, looking at their period sheets blankly. I turned back to Tally, who looked unjoyful. "That means I better get going to E24 and you…" she trailed off and we went separate ways. I felt a pang of sadness. Great. I walk quickly, scanning the doors to check the tags on them. I could hear whispering of the two boys behind me. I felt anger steaming up me, but not real rage. I guess I'm kinda not good, or whatever. I meet up the door that says A19. I took a deep breath and push through the door. But before I do that I spin around to face the two boys. "Were you following me? Because I can hear that you clearly were!" I blurt out. Omigod, Kit, why did you say that FOR? I think to myself. I feel blood rushing up my cheeks. One of the boys quickly say, "Oh, we're just not sure of the directions. I'm Josh Sanders though and this is my friend Sam."

"Hi!" the boy Sam says cheerfully. Before I could introduce myself, Mr. Hillens butts in. "Mm, are you kids going to find a seat and start our new session? Get out your history books and turn to page 4!" she snaps. Sam and Josh and I quickly found our seats. I looked around. Tally wasn't in but there were two spare seats in the middle row. I plump myself on the seat and get out my history books. What a way to start my first day of middle school.

Chapter 2

First period is over and its lunch and boy, am I glad! I meet up with Tally near the lockers. "How was your class?" I ask. Tally told me that it was great and she had met up with some new friends. I smile and tell her about Josh and Sam. She nods and we make our way to the cafeteria. I feel another nervous feeling again. But still, I stayed close to Tally but she was like rushing to the cafeteria like she was wanting to get someone. I follow faster, too. But there was another girl with a group of friends infront of her. They were the most popular's, maybe. No, they were. Doesn't Tally want to hang out with me? "Hey, Janine! Hey Melanie!" Tally calls. A girl with blonde shiny hair who was called Melanie spin around and smiled at her. The girl called Janine, long glossy red hair and green eyes also said hello. My heart drops. They were Tally's new friends from her math class. I wish I were with her and I could've made friends with them. They disappeared in a crowd of kids. I can't believe it. Tally ditched me right under my nose. Is this real life?

I carried my tray and look in the cafeteria. Where to sit? This must be kidding. I look over to the right. I can't believe my eyes- Tally was sharing a table with Janine and Melanie! I walk over to their table, because there were two spare seats, anyway next to Tally. I push my hair back and look at Tally. "Um, hi, Tally?" I greeted in a sweet voice. Tally looks up and down. "Ur, hi," Melanie says, but her voice was cold. "Now, um, Kitrina, you are. Tally told us about you. Now, bye!" Janine added in a fake-nice voice. I let my face drop. Why were they so mean? Now bye? It's so weird. I look at Tally again. She doesn't say anything. "Er, its Kit, you can call me for short…" I explain. Melanie smirks then says, "Right, yeah, whatever, charming. Now, see you later!" she says. I felt tears welling in my eyes. Is Tally my friend? All I can do is go away from them to another table. But there were no more. All full up with people! I wasn't very hungry so I throw my tray in the bin and wandered off, still sad and unhappy. What was up with Tally? I went outside to the grass area and got my classical guitar and my cowboy hat and sat on a bench outside. I play a few chords and sighed. What a day to start middle school.

For the next session or second period, I was in the English with Tally and Melanie and Janine. They keep whispering and giggling. Suddenly, there was a note on my desk. Melanie slide it over when Mr. Drake wasn't looking. I opened it. It was in a small envelope. It said:

Hey, loser!
Or, I'm SO sorry, Kitrina. Oh, my apologies', Kit. Well, loser, are ya having a great day? From, Melanie, Janine and TALLY.

I swallow away my sadness and tried to concentrate on what Mr. Drake was doing on the board.

Chapter 3

"Well, how was your first day of middle school?" mum asks as I get a pitcher of strawberry juice from the booth. "It was OK," I mumbled, getting some ice from the fridge. Mum flipped over some bacon and eyed me. "OK, huh? OK? Is that all? I looked in your period map. Not in the same class as Tally for most of the classes. You're lucky your best friend's in two classes. English and Science, your best subjects!" mum shots back. Then she asks me if I had any homework. I shake my head. "No homework for the first two weeks of middle school," I say and pour myself strawberry juice from the pitcher into my cup. Today had started fine. Until Tally became friends with two bullies-Bullies that had spent most of their time in a beauty pageant! Two mean kids who wears miniskirts and mini shirts that show your bellybutton and wear tinted lipgloss! It was so not Tally-style. "Mum, I'm going to Tally's. You know, first day of middle school to sort things out and um… talk about it?" I say. Mum looks way happier for me to get out of her way. I slam the door on my way out. I walk to Tally's house sadly.

When I got to her house, I took a deep breath and ring her doorbell. Tally's mother answered it and I walked into her house and upstairs to Tally's room. Tally's mum is alright. She always gives me a packet of cookies when I'm going home from her house. I went inside Tally's room. It was painted cream blue with fairy lights. It was way cooler than my bedroom with all the country stuff and painted horses and paddocks. But I love my room. I wouldn't swap it for Tally's. Melanie and Janine was in Tally's room, doing a pash boys quiz on that magazine, Dolly. I gap at Tally. She was doing the quiz with them, giggling on the sofa cushions. I push my wavy dark hair back and cleared my throat. The three looked up and giggled at me. "What about you, Kit? Have you ever kissed a frog?" teases Melanie. Tally and Janine giggle as it was the funniest thing they'd ever heard of. I shut my mouth tight and grimace. "Of course she has," Janine giggles. "But probably to a toad. A big fat ugly one with warts all over and the color of diarrhea!" she continues. Tally and Melanie laughs again. But I sneak a peek at Tally-she's changed. Her hair, her face. Her skin? Janine and Melanie have given her a makeover, since Tally's part of their gang. Her hair is now curly auburn and still a little brown. Her face has been going on with pink lipstick, dangly earrings and purple and hot pink eye shadow. She's been given a fake tan and her clothes are like…Yuk. She's wearing a miniskirt, spaghetti strap top and purple high heels. I feel like puking. Oh, and her nails… they have been given a manicure with hot pink fingernails. "Tally," I say quietly. "Since when do you read Dolly?" Tally looks at me then down, like in the cafeteria.

Chapter 4

It's Tuesday and I'm near the lockers, reading a note. Well, Tally, Melanie and Janine have done it again. They are sending me rude notes and slips them into me locker. One said: Hey, Kit-loser! Why not hover up in the cafeteria and met Tally, Janine and I (Melanie, loser!) and you'll see.

I sigh and head off to first period.

After lunch, the teachers let us outside and I trot over to the basketball courts. I see Tally there, alone. She's shaping up something. I can feel it. "Hey, Kit. Ur, do you…um… wanna hang out after school?" she stammers nervously. She's pretending, alright. Yup, she is. I frown. I couldn't help it. The words just tear out like bubble gum. After all, she is wearing what she wore yesterday at her house after school. Her fake tan is still on. "Yeah, well you know what, Tally? I don't care what you're doing to me but I'm NOT going to your house or hang out with you! And why are you like this? On the first day of middle school you've ditched me for some kind of trendy girls who only care about make-up and clothes and their hair!" I say, letting all the anger come out. I was almost yelling. Tally suddenly looks upset and concerned. Well, that's her fault. She's the one who's sucking up to Melanie and Janine. Tally's nostrils flared. Great. Now she's angry when she basically caused this problem herself. The two boys from yesterday, Josh and Sam was passing by, watching all the commotion. "Oh, so I'm not allow to make another group of cool friends? Seriously Kit, you're just jealous that I'm invited to a cool group of friends, and you're not!" she mocks back. I feel tears still swelling up. But I won't let them go out or Tally, my former friend will bully me about it. I have to be strong and stand up for myself. No more turning back or walking away. "Right, so all the notes that I've been getting from you, Melanie and Janine were saying 'loser', 'loser' and 'loser', wasn't it? So, if you think I'm a loser, go ahead! Tell the whole school what I am. A 'loser'! So, yeah, well, I guess I am a loser! Go on, tell the whole school!" I yell. Soon, we caught up with a crowd of kids, so I guess we have been pretty loud. "Fight, fight, fight!" they were yelling. More tears well up. Even Melanie and Janine were. "Huh? Alright, you're a loser! Kit's a loser of Loserville! You're nickname's loser. How bout THAT?!" Tally mocks some more. I clenched my fists. I tried to scream as loud as I can to come over the crowd yelling, "Fight, fight, fight!" so I screamed, "Yeah, AS LONG AS I DON'T HAVE TO BE LIKE YOU!!!" it was so loud that the crowd stopped shouting. I walk pass Tally, not caring about anything and pushing past the mob of people, wanting to see a stupid fight. I hate this. Everything about it. I meet up with Melanie and Janine, right infront of my face. "Hey, loser. You mess with Tal, mess with me…"

Chapter 5

It took ages for my arm to stop hurting. Seriously, Melanie punched me on the arm. Wasn't it supposed to be face? I'm in the sick bay, caring my arm.

I'm not speaking to Tally, and that's somehow fine with me.

Halloween Special Edition

Horse-miracles 4#-Halloween Special Edition

A new rider enrolls Willow Hall Stables and her name is Sapphire ???. The strange thing is, she doesn't have a surname! Her mother is a Sri Lankan Doctor and her father works by the seven seas. Her horse, is even stranger. First thing is, her beloved Arabian grey horse, Aquamarine is very strange. At sleepover barn nights and at midnight, Sapphire and Aquamarine are always out missing but return in the morning. Angie and June think that this is very strange, so one night on Friday the 13th, Angie and June set out to follow Sapphire and Aquamarine…wherever they go, and Sapphire is going somewhere dangerous that no mortal could go through.

"Did you bring the pumpkin cookies?" asked June mischievously. Angie rolled her eyes and placed a platter of pumpkin-shaped cookies near the fire. It was Halloween and Willow Hall Stables are having an All Hallows Eve Night Share and of course, a sleepover at the barn. Angie pushed back her blonde hair in a ponytail and waited for Mrs. Harrington and the other students to settle down. All the students and stable hands sat in a circle around a camp fire. Mrs. Harrington looked around to see if everyone was paying attention. "This is a special day for All Hallows. So, if you are going to be silly, I'd rather cancel this special day and we will all go home," Mrs. Harrington warned everyone. Everyone nodded, despite in Mrs. Harrington's bad mood. Angie however, was almost the worst rider in the riding school and was used to getting into trouble. Angie sat next to June and waited for Mike, the stable manager to speak.

Sapphire had long brunette color hair all out, and wavy. She was wearing unusual clothes for a riding school. (Despite the fact she rides side-saddle.) A natural-looking white dress with no sleeves or shoulder sleeves. It was just upon her chest. Sapphire knew what the other riders were thinking: Her dress looked like someone who lives in the trees. She sat next to two girls: One named June that she had found incredibly friendly and another called Stevie; who were just as annoying. Mike lowered his voice and said, "Mrs. Harrington is going to keep watch of you guys since it is nearly dark. I want someone to tell a ghost story." Mike said, smiling and he went over to the barn to check out on the horses. Sapphire hoped he wouldn't check on her beloved mare, Aquamarine. The secret was that Aquamarine was secretly a flying fairy horse, like a unicorn but with no horn. Sapphire didn't want to anyone to find out. And I don't belong here, she thought glumly as people began to yell out who'll tell a scary story. I live in a forest with only nature to accompany me. She continued thinking. Then, she looked at the watch on the barn door. It was 8:30pm at night. At midnight, she'll have to take Aquamarine on a flying night ride back to the rainforests, where'd she'd belong. Where her mother and father was. Where her beloved pet cat, Earn was. Where her pet dog, See-Saw was. And where Aquamarine belonged, too. For the rest of the ghost-telling tales, Sapphire wasn't really listening. She was keeping watch of time. She hoped it wasn't midnight and Aquamarine will already turn to a fairy horse!

Angie and June leaned closely to Isabella as she told her story. "One night a girl named Harris was in the barn grooming her horse, Dixie. But she didn't know that there was a blood-sucking vampire was in with her, too. As she took a step up to the hayloft BOOM! The vampire appeared infront of her, making Harris scream to death. The vampire wore a black up-to-legs dress, red lipstick and the vampire's hair was the deepest, scariest blonde you will ever see. The vampires flowing hair started flowing. Harris screamed and screamed for help but it was late at night and the stable hands and the managers and the teachers and everyone else had gone home to sleep. The vampire started to pounce on Harris, almost clawing the vampire's sharp, red nails into her. Harris screamed for help but again, no one would hear her. So, the vampire bit Harris so Harris also became a vampire. A dead one. That was the end." Isabella finished her story and grinned. Most people looked scared and kept glancing over to the hayloft. Unlike Angie and June, thought this was a silly story. Before the next scary story came along, Angie whispered to June, "Hey, look at Sapphire. You know she doesn't have a surname? Isn't that weird?". June starred at Sapphire, with her white dress with no sleeves at all, and no shoes, even. June nodded. "And her horse, Aquamarine. Something's about her horse," June whispered back. Angie gulped when Sapphire noticed June and Angie looking at her.

Sapphire looked away sharply when she saw them two girls looking at her. She kept her head down and she was blushing furiously. "Alright, that's enough ghost stories! Let's get you children tucked into bed and tomorrow I'll arrange some classes with your parents when they come to pick you up!" cried Mrs. Harrington, looking stern as usual. Sapphire strolled over to her sleeping bag, which was in the barn. She couldn't believe herself. She was grinning furiously. No one had asked her about her clothes! It was amazing. She went to check on her horse, Aquamarine. "Hey girl," said Sapphire gently. "I'll wait until everyone gets to bed and we'll go out," Sapphire whispered this time so no one would hear her but she was wrong. Angie and June were eavesdropping at Sapphire and they couldn't understand why Sapphire said that.

"Sapphire is up to something," said June when they were in their sleeping bags. "I can feel it and it's something that's… I don't know. But I think magical," Angie shrugs and said, "Alright, you know we're the only pair that hasn't turned off our lights so turn it off so then Sapphire goes somewhere and we'll follow," Angie whispers back. So, they turned off their lights as quickly as possible.

Sapphire heard one of the last lights turned off and she slowly got out of her sleeping bag. She used her eyes to see through the dark. Then, she found Aquamarine's stall. Aquamarine was in there, ready to be turned into a fairy horse. But Sapphire couldn't wait any longer. It was one more hour till it was midnight. She slowly, ever so slowly starred deeply but gently into Aquamarine's black coal eyes and whispered the magical words:

'The time has come, the time has come

Where you will be done

Turn Aqua into something special and I will give the light

May Aqua be a fairy horse tonight!'

Soon, purple sparkles swirl around Aquamarine and Sapphire covers her eyes. When she opens them, Aquamarine is a fairy horse! But she didn't know that Angie and June are watching her and are going to follow her. "Omigod," breathed June as she saw that. "Omigod. Could you believe that Angie?" she hissed. Angie's mouth was open, surprised. "I've read about fairy horses in fact books. They turn into that at midnight unless the owner says this phrase or something. No wonder why Sapphire is weird and dresses like a rainforest person; she lives in the rainforest!" hisses Angie back. Sapphire climbs on Aquamarines back, no saddle, no bridle, no girth, nothing. The fairy horse had a pair of beautiful sparkly wings and Everytime it moved, pink sparks will come out of its tail. Angie had never seen anything wonderful. Sapphire and Aquamarine glided into the night sky, leaving Angie and June soon tacking up their own horses. Angie mounted on Caspar and June mounted on Ginny. They weren't allowed to go riding but June really wanted to look. So, they galloped off, catching up to Sapphire and Aquamarine.

Sapphire felt free and light as she and Aquamarine glided through the night sky, with a billion of stars next to them. She wanted to go back to her rainforest. There, was home. Her home with a family. With a beautiful waterfall and Everytime it's night at the stables, its day at the rainforest. When she finally reached the rainforest, Sapphire dismounted off and smelt fresh waterfall air.

Angie and June catched up and dismounted as well. They had to stay as quietly as possible. "I can't believe it, its day here!" shrieked June. Angie gasped as June said that. Now they were in trouble. Sapphire heard and spun around, looking shocked. "You followed me?" she asked. Angie nodded leaving June standing there, looking how beautiful the Paradise was. A waterfall with water clashing on rocks, trees filled with fruit and nature. Sapphire sighed and said to Angie and June. "I guess it's alright. I guess you know my secret now and Aquamarine's. He is a fairy horse. Aren't you, boy?" Sapphire patted Aquamarine on the forehead. Sapphire glanced at the waterfall then glanced at Angie and June. "Would you like to take a swim with this waterfall?" she asked, grinning. "Thanks!" June yelled and followed Angie and Sapphire up the rock stone stairs. "Let's jump at the waterfall," suggested June, feeling excited. Angie however, was not so sure. "Mm…I hope Mrs. Harrington wouldn't find out…" Angie fretted. Sapphire shook her head and said whenever it was past midnight, Aquamarine will turn into a normal horse again. They all jumped into the water. Angie felt fantastic! It was cool and fresh in the water with much more water clashing down from the water fall. "Hey, look at me! Look at me! I'm taking a cold shower!" laughed June, standing near the waterfall in the lake water, pretending to me washing her hair. Angie gritted her teeth happily. Her blonde hair was wet and her green eyes were sore from placing her head in the water. But Sapphire, wasn't as pleased. "Get out of there!" she yelled. "Gran will kill me! That's not safe to go in a waterfall that's falling. You could get killed, you know but most likely you will get very sick into a curse!" June rolled her eyes and all three of them got out of the water and decided to swing on the vines of the trees.

"Ah, snake!" shrieked June as a python was resting on a branch. Sapphire laughed. "Don't worry, that snake is harmless! He's a watcher, obviously!" They were all happily playing and playing but when it was time, they all went back into the stables.

The days that were just plain

The Days That Were Just Plain-

Journal

By Christine Kat Wang

November

Tuesday

In case you're wondering why I am in the dumb school play is NOT that I wanted to join but because Mum said so. She said that it was perfect to learn some things later and on in life. I practically begged mom not to sign me up because the school play is going to have LOT'S of singing and dancing which was totally not my thing. I don't do performing arts. Dad tried to talk me out of it. But again, mom actually won the fight. So practicing singing and dancing was all for today.

We started we warm ups. It was just boring ole' stretches we all do. Arden Gilbert was standing in the front row, dancing like anything. I don't like Arden Gilbert very much. She was basically a show off and she is completely dumb when it comes to common sense. She was flicking her red hair everywhere and GET THIS: I am in the SECOND ROW, behind Arden, next to my best friend, Jasmine. I have been Jasmine's friend since the start of year five since Fiona Mitchels, Nadia Harden and Sophie Rash basically ditched me in the spot ESPCEIALLY since they are ALL playing footy with the stupid, moronic boys at lunch. Whoever plays with them, simply become just like the boys: Stupid, dorky and totally pathetic. Anyway, Mrs. Vase is arranging a solo dance for Arden. Arden is SO happy, she is actually flicking her hair in people's eyes and mouth. Great. Just great. I have to sing and dance to this stupid song, 'Best of Both World's' but the most gayish singer, Hannah Montana. It SO not me or Jasmine. We move our bums and hips a lot in this stupid dance. We all have to sing each a solo. As if I will be doing that. It's bad enough to be behind Arden, getting itchy eyes from her long, prickly hair. But Mrs. Vase said I couldn't look for any more excuses because NO ONE will be getting kicked out. I sang my line as quiet as possible so no one will hear. Mrs. Vase stopped the music and glared dangerously at me. Then, she told everyone to shut up and go to the back of the room and I had to stand in the front of the class, getting told of by Mrs. Vase. "You better get your act, Carrie," she snapped wildly. "Sing it or bite it, it's up to you but don't expect me to get you an F for your report because you're walking right down the path!" screeched Mrs. Vase.

When it was lunch, Jasmine and I went to the canteen to buy some ice blocks queue. "I didn't want to be in this dance! It was my mum! She told me to sign up! And now Mrs. Vase is chewing me off?"

Jasmine obviously liked the whole dance just because it's by Hannah Montana. Arden and Lyra, another girl who likes dancing and singing and spotlight were behind us and hearing me. Arden was worse. She came up to me and did another hair flick. It speard along my face. I heard Lyra giggling. Those girls were both in the stupid CA spa thingie and Choir. We went to the tree and sat under it. Suddenly, Noah and Vikki, two annoying girls who I don't really want around came chanting to us. "D'you have any money?!" Vikki squawked, grabbing Noah's arm wildly and laughing. Jasmine liked hanging out with Noah and Vikki so they all three ended up going away from the tree and away from me to share Jasmine's money, ditching me of course. Who'd be bothered to hang out with them? Is it because Noah is in CA spa and Choir as well? Or is it because Vikki and do cartwheels and flips? I got horse-riding and no one thinks that it's special. Cross everything. Who cares if someone has a voice like a canary like Vikki? Who cares if Noah is a great dancer like Arden? Doesn't anyone think that riding can have some privileges? Anyway, I ended up walking around the playground, pretending to be interested in something. Jasmine is obviously wiping Noah and Vikki's bums all day. I guess I could play with the Sophie group. But they are playing footy or something with the boys. Oh, maybe I can play with Sally… but I realized she hadn't had a shower in days and her hair smells funny. Cross everything.

Wednesday

I have a brother named Joe who is twice as annoying as anything. Today, he totally messed with my deodorant. I have to find a way to pay him back for that. Yesterday, I slept at 11:30pm so I guess that's pretty late and I slept in, making my brown hair getting bed heads. Last night I was SO sure I set my alarm at 7:30am. But Joe somehow turned my alarm off. It was totally evil for him to do so. So, I had mum barging into my room, waving her arms about and screaming and squawking yelling that she had slept in too, and we were late for school. I told her Joe had something to do with it. He had messed with my deodorant and set my alarm clock off. Not to mention he 'accidently-on-purpose' spilt orange juice all over my homework. Mum said she'll chew him out one day. One day? So I'd obviously got told off by Ms. Smith today.

Jasmine is still jack-hanging out with Noah and Vikki, totally ignoring me. It was so unfair. There seems to be a magnet where Jasmine and Vikki lure together. No, Jasmine goes to Vikki. Today at lunch, Jasmine and Vikki stood in front of me while I was sitting down, slurping my slushee when they went hand by hand, giggling away from me. It was like they wanted me to see them ditching me. And they skipped off, giggling. I guess the only way is to make a NEW best friend. The only person I know is Jade Russell, I mean, she is my back-up friend. Jade lives on a farm, where I want to visit but can't. She is quite slim and fat, her black hair in a plait and tanned skin all smooth. It seems a bore, hanging out with her. All she wants to talk about is how her chickens got their own private pens. I had enough so I told Jade that I was going to the loo. I met Vikki and Jasmine on the way. They giggled and they were both eating ice blocks from Jasmine's money. Nice catch, I thought to myself. Then, they were about to go away when I didn't allow them to. I asked them why did they ditch me and why did Jasmine really ditch me for some geek. But I guess Vikki must've heard and looked really upset and strolled away quickly. Jasmine groaned and looked at me. "Uhhhhhh! You had to wreck it, didn't you?! We weren't ditching you! Now, you made Vikki angry and now she going to go all…" Jasmine said, annoyed about me. Suddenly, the bell went and Jasmine pushed past me rushly.

Thursday

The problem with Jasmine and I are seriously going high. This morning in LFTT, Jasmine, who was sitting next to me, marched up to Ms. Smith's desk and ask-

'Could I sit next to Vikki, since she has an empty seat next to her?'

And guess what? Ms. Smith said-

"Yes!"

This is totally unfair because that means Vikki, Noah and Jasmine will be altogether. After all, Noah is next to Vikki and Jasmine is going to be next to Vikki. So, without saying another word to me, Jasmine packed up her books and stuff and went to sit next to Vikki. They even did secret handshakes they made up. Like, whatever. Mum rang the school office and said that I forgot my LUNCH AT HOME!!! So, for all the embarrassment, mum had to drive to school, march into the classroom and say-

'Honey, you forgot your lunch,'

Saturday

I had nothing to do in the morning so I decided to ring up Jasmine. Until I remembered about the fight but that totally BLOWN IT because I just realized that AFTER the phone call. Jasmine seemed to go all crazy on the phone. She asked why I phoned her and all that stuff. Also, Vikki and Noah are at her house, playing games like Secret Pals. That totally bites because that's OUR secret game; now the word's speard and now it's THEIR secret game that it was supposed to be only Jasmine and I's. I felt anger flush through me until Joe called from upstairs. He yelled that an email that was supposed to be mine had popped up on his account and told me to get off the ruddy phone and answer my ruddy well email. I was too upset to say anything. All I did was frown and slam the phone shut without saying good-bye to Jasmine and stormed upstairs. I felt like crying. It was just so mean about what they did. And why did they? It didn't make sense. I went to Joe's room where his computer was. He was on the seat, staring at the unknown email. I rubbed my eyes from my tears and looked at the screen. It was from Jasmine, Vikki and Noah.

Monday

This is horrible. I feel so miserable. Mum cheered me up for a while and made me strawberry and vanilla cupcakes and took me and Joe to an ice-cream. It was so mean to get that stupid email from THEM. Vikki, Jasmine and Noah.

Dear Carrie,

We know that you are very upset that we 'ditched' you. We didn't. We wanted to have some fun. Cool fun. Want to join OUR SECRET CLUB? Shhhh! Don't tell anyone: The Secret Friends are in order. Don't tell anyone! If you like to join, please tell JASMINE. Only. Please. If you're mad, please go shove heaps of horse manure.

Now, this totally sucks. I don't want to be in their own little private stupid club fun. Today, in the morning, I had the perfect plan. I really wanted everything to go back to normal so, during math; I got out my notebook and wrote something on it…

Dear The Secret Friend Girls,

Sure, I'll LOVE to join you're puking club. It'll be SO cool! Thanks so much for inviting me. You are so the BEST! Thanks for making my day so cool. From, The Totally Awesome CARRIE!

Then, I ripped it out of my notebook, folded it and told Jade, who was sitting across me to pass it on to Vikki, Jasmine and Noah. Put I WAS writing in pencil and forgot to rub out 'puking'. Great, Jade had already passed it to NOAH; not Jasmine! Then, as I was concentrating on the sums on the board, I realized the email: Give it to Jasmine only. Oh no! Icky Jade has given it to Noah. Great plan, I thought to myself. Very great. I AM angry. Angry at Jasmine. How could she ditch me like that? Then, that phrase flashed through me like thunderbolt: If you are angry, go shove up heaps of horse manure.

Well, I guess I am angry. OK, I am VERY MAD! How could they say (Type.) that?

Am writing this during history class. Feel bored because Miss. Smith is going in and out of the classroom, finding and getting things, so this journal is going to come in handy. It is JUST after lunch and something so horrible has happened. Fortunately, Jasmine, Vikki and Noah could spell out the 'puking' word that I had crossed out. So, when I was lining up in the canteen queue to get my water bottle drink, I didn't realize they were right behind me. But, Jasmine was. When I finally got my water bottle, I opened the lid, when Jasmine said, "Hey, look over there," it was the usual friendly voice I have heard until Vikki and Noah came along. I turned around, bottle still grasping in my hand, when SPLASH! Jasmine pushed the bottle toward my face and the water all splashed on my face. Vikki and Noah were laughing and whispered something to eachother with Jasmine and they all went skipping, arm by arm, hand by hand in the girl's toilet. They didn't mention anything about the club… until homeroom. When we were lining up, waiting for Miss. Smith to come by, Vikki came up to me and giggled. "Is your face dry? I hope so, cos' you looked like a drowned rat beforehand!" she said in a mocking voice. I swallowed hard, trying not to cry. Then, Noah came along and pulled Vikki's hair playfully. "Oh, don't get upset. It's NO OFFENSE!" Noah shrieked as Jasmine joined them. I knew that it was offensive. Jasmine doesn't look at me. She just looks at Noah and Vikki, laughing and joking along. Then, they all looked at eachother, then at me. Then, Jasmine nodded at Vikki and Noah and they all cheered, "YOU'RE NOT IN THE C-LUB! YOU'RE NOT IN THE CL-UB!"

I feel like pulling their hair off. Especially Jasmine's. Why was she so mean to me all of a sudden? I couldn't speak because then, Mrs. Smith had come by.

Tonight at home, things got better. Joe got grounded for messing with my deodorant. I'm in some hot water with mum but luckily, she forgot about it. I did something that really irritated her. She was cooking vegetables in the kitchen when I asked her a math question I didn't understand, she looked at my book for ONE SECOND SPLIT and FIZZ! Some water had popped into her eyes. Luckily, it wasn't seriously but my mum really told me off.

December

Thursday

The school's play is coming along at Friday. You see, Jasmine and I hadn't been speaking to eachother for a MONTH already so I guess I'm fine without her. The best thing about being in primary school is that no one takes much notice of you as you have no one to play with, or just a loner. I'm glad I'm not in middle school yet.

We did our school practice today. The dance and song is getting worse and worse by second. Worst of all, Mrs. Vase arranged our costumes. My one is totally stupid; an up-to-my-long-legs blue dress with purple frills. Not exactly 'poppy' for a pop song, right? When it was my part to sing, I didn't want to get chewed out by Mrs. Vase and I sang. Jasmine, who is dancing next to me, is taking no notice of me, anyway. The worst thing about MY costume is that it doesn't stand out from the crowd. Everyone else is wearing jeans or cool shorts or track pants or whatever and I'm here in a 13th century dress. I don't think Mrs. Vase likes me at all. And worse, Everytime I move my feet, like today when my group of singers and I went on stage, since I was the ONLY ONE wearing a stupid long, super LONG dress, I tripped over Lily Mac, who tripped over her high heeled boots who tripped over Amie Ly, who tripped over Rakia Mystic, who needed to get an ice-pack from the office because she has 'scraped' her leg on the carpet, which the rest of us kids thought that that was impossible, scraping your leg on SOFT carpet. I could hear the giggles of Vikki, Noah and Jasmine. I tried to ignore them but it was really hard. After the practices I told Mrs. Vase that the dress was impossible to dance with. She obviously said I had to deal with it. Great. The dance is tomorrow and I had to face social embarrassment.

Friday

Today's dance was REALLY BAD. The show was supposed to start at 6:30pm but Erin Macoy had stage fright straight away. So the show started at 7:00pm. Everything started badly. I tripped over my own dress WITH STUPID HIGH HEELS THAT MRS. VASE ARRANGED!!! Oh, and guess what? Joe was in the back rows, taking pictures to one particular person. Yup, you said it- Me. He took a picture of me tripping over the dress, and half way during the song, the same thing happened like yesterday. I tripped over Lily and Lily tripped over…

And Joe had taken a snap of it. When I realized how many humiliating photos he had taken, I didn't sing so Amine Ly had to do it for me. When we went back to the dance, I tripped over Arden, which closed the whole show down. Now, Arden is so angry at me because she 'thinks I have spoiled her red carpet walk downs and autographs from the audience.' also, I had a painful sting in my eye as I tripped over Arden. Yes, her red hair is as prickly as Cactus. Mum was not impressed, either. I told her that the dress and high heeled shoes were all Miss. Vase's idea. That simply did the trick. I am not signing into the next summer play.

Saturday

Did masses of homework and went to Jasmine's to explain. She was completely avoiding me. When I was near her house, I looked up the window and saw her upstairs near the window, playing Secret Pals with Vikki and Noah. The 'Secret Friend's Club' has obviously made a vital: Their meeting place is at Jasmine's house on Saturday. I felt really left out, but not as upset as last month because I am really used to this now. I took a deep breath and rang the doorbell. Jasmine's sister, Janine had answered it. I really liked Janine. She was a complete bigger version of Jasmine. Long, golden blonde hair and chubby and bubbly expression. She seemed pleased to see me and called Jasmine down to see me. Jasmine made her entrance downstairs, when she saw me, my whole world flipped. She folded her arms and frowned. "You know, that dance yesterday was rubbish. You've completely ruined it for everyone!" she screamed when we were upstairs in her room. Vikki and Noah were there, teasing me. I thought I rather just go home but Noah added, "She's not part of our club, so why is she in here?"

So Jasmine had to hush me out so we could chew on eachother outside her bedroom. She says that I ruin everything. Like, being mean to Vikki and ruining class dances and plays. I told her that she ditched me for Vikki and Noah. But Jasmine shot back that she was 'just trying to make new friends' and said something that made my stomach go totally sick-

"You don't belong here, Carrie Parker! Not in my house! So I don't know why you're in my house right now cos' you shouldn't be. What a country hick
like you belong with US?"

I had felt tears blubbering in my eyes, praying them to not come out. Soon, Vikki and Noah heard and joined Jasmine too. They kept calling me names like 'country hick scrubbing horse manure' and 'loser of Loserville' and loner and stuff like that. Luckily, Jasmine's mum hadn't heard. So, I didn't like crying in other people's houses so I quickly grabbed my coat without saying anything to Janine on the way out of the door. When I got home, I punched my face in my pillow and sobbed. It was totally stupid about how that called me country hick. I don't live in a small country house ANYMORE or on a farm anymore with heaps of sheep and cattle or horses to clean every day. But I have to admit, I WAS born in a farm. But it's still not fair because I'm not completely dumb to be called country HICK. I have just realized that they weren't my friends anymore or even my true friends. Jasmine wasn't. She was just a ditcher and complete backstabber.

Tuesday

It has been a while since I haven't wrote in this book. Jasmine is totally off the hook. She is still not speaking to me which was totally unfair. SHE'S the one who called me country HICK and SHE'S the one who basically caused this whole problem herself. Last night after my swimming lessons, I tore up the 'Best Friends' card Jasmine gave me for my birthday this year in August and threw it away in the compost bins. And, I threw away the genie necklace she gave me two years ago AND I drew ugly pictures of her with Vikki and Noah in the Indian notebook she gave me. I hated her so much. We were really close friends until she backstabbed me on the spot.

Mum and dad are having relaxation at home. They are SO lucky. Juice, a swimming pool and a canopy shed with a garden swinger while Joe and I have to suffer from school. I got a Dt for my math assement so mum made Miss. Smith give me double the math homework as usual.

I have managed to make a friend and I guess it IS a friend I could trust- Jade. Yes, chicken crazy but at least she is a good friend. We are having a sleepover at hers tomorrow. While, Jasmine is still ignoring me, I guess that's the best for her to do. After all, I didn't need a long best friend in my life anymore. I didn't need Jasmine. Who cares about country HICK and loner and loser?

Wednesday

Last page of my journal so I am writing this in special pen.

If Jasmine and I EVER be friends again, I'll remind her that she's the one who called me a c_unt_ _ h_c_.

p.s- For Christmas, Jasmine, Vikki and Noah bought be a bag of dried up horse poo. Threw it out and told the principle and they got in SERIOUS trouble!

Yours,

Carrie Parker J

Pony Secrets

Pony Secrets

No Horsing Around!

Heh, heh, heh….

"Gah!"

"Wasn't my fault!"

"Hey! You know it was!"

"Shut up!"

And the fight continues on and on and on…

Edina's mum's friend, Mrs. Dan and her daughter, Sophie Dan is moving in in Edina's family farm for a week. Edina hates Sophie so much… after last times visit. Sophie is just a brat that brags! Even more, when Sophie moves her pony, Shadow to share a field with Edina's pony, Sunset, Edina refuses but Sophie just wants to cause trouble.

Made a horse vomit, kicked out some FRESH hay, gave Sunset eat the wrong grains, AND switched Edina's favorite CD's with the one's she hates… How can Sophie STOP?!

Chapter 1

A truck arrived and slid down the road as I heard it. This is it, I thought coldly. Time to meet Missy Bratty Brag… I was peacefully doing her school projects in my room and on my desks when the doorbell rang. I sighed and cut out some blue paper into star shapes. Mum had invited her friend, Mrs. Dan over to come over for a week. Worst of all, she was taking Sophie, her daughter with her. Footsteps came in. I heard mum say, "Well, hello Mrs. Dan and oh, lovely Sophie. Come, come in. I'll show you your rooms. I hope you remember everything from two years ago…" My mum's voice trailed off. I put her scissors down, closed my eyes and pressed my lips together. It wasn't long before mum broke the bombshell… "EDINA! Why don't you say hello to Mrs. Dan and Sophie?! Don't you remember them?!" mum yelled, as she got some tea bags. I groaned and threw my pencil on the ground. That was the LAST thing I needed! I trotted downstairs and found Mrs. Dan, dressed up in a sunhat, a big flowery dress with sunglasses and her hair was all curled up. When she saw me, she snickered and pushed her curly blonde hair back. "Well, nice to see you again…I think. By the way, was that your pony in the paddock?" she asked brainily. I sighed quietly. She must have meant Sunset; my beloved Palomino pony was out in my family's farm paddock, obviously. I nodded. I hated Mrs. Dan as much as Sophie, but you never know. Mrs. Dan's face dropped and patted Sophie on the back. Sophie, the brat was dressed in a lovely dress, matching Mrs. Dan's, her dark blonde hair in pigtails and mild curls. When I caught her eye, Sophie gave me a harsh stare or glower. I flinched. I needed rescue. But mum was making tea when it was like 8:30pm in THE NIGHT and dad was upstairs worrying about some things that I don't officially worry about. There was no escape. But Mrs. Dan continued her talk. "Well, I think it was Sunset? Oh yes, it was. Sophie told me or reminded me on the plane that Sunset was a very, ur, um ugly horsey as you see and he definitely is. Who'd bought me for you?" she asked evilly. I felt like gasping but I didn't. did she just say that Sunset was ugly? I'm sure she did. I looked around cautiously to see if mum was there to defend me. But she wasn't. So, I glared in defend at Mrs. Dan and Sophie. "Sunset isn't ugly! In fact, he is a very good race horse! Get it? Thoroughbreds are BORN to be RACE HORSES! Try him out in a Melbourne Cup and keep calling him ugly! Go ON!" I screamed at them. Especially Sophie. Mum had heard and came charging in the lounge. She looked very cross. "Edina! You're so RUDE! Go to your room and think about respecting our guests!"

Chapter 2

I hate them. Every bit of them. No, it's Sophie that I loathe. Every bit of her. So here I am, in my room on my bed, loathing Sophie so much and how just then, mum came into my room and asked me what was going on. I explained that they called Sunset ugly. She said that now she wasn't mad at me but I really have to watch my temper. And I mean REALLY have to. And, oh, gosh, Sophie is sharing a room with ME! She is sleeping on the bottom bunk and I am in the top. I LOVE the bottom but she just begs people and gives puppy eye things. Suddenly, the door swung open and Sophie was there, carrying her suitcase and her teddy bear. She sat on the bottom bunk while I was lying on the top. "You really hurt my mum's feelings, you know," she said, every word pitching higher and rising higher and higher. I shrugged and sat up. "Oh yeah? I have feelings too. I bet you if you tell your mum that it'll be new news for her. it was horrid to say that Sunset, MY pony was ugly." I shot back at her firmly. I twirled my wavy brown hair which was in a side-ways pony tail. Sophie started throwing her night gowns on her bed. They were all flower patterns, of course. "But, you didn't have to be so mean! You… look, I'm going to get you one day and who knows when?" she said, still going higher, but calmly. I shrugged once more. "Oh, bother. Who cares anyway?" I said and climbed off the ladder when… Stuck-up Sophie blocked the ladder half-way so I fell on the ground, flat on my back. That gave Sophie the fit giggles. "I'm SO sorry!" she laughed. I groaned and grabbed my pj's and went to the bath. It was going to be a very long week.

Sophie has brought her pony, Shadow over to my family's farm. She told me just now and said that she's going to put Shadow in my paddock which has Sunset in it. No way. No way. No way am I accepting it. Her family's horse truck is arriving tomorrow morning. My mum came in to say goodnight and said to go to sleep early because I have school tomorrow. "Um, kiddies, Sophie, Shadow are going to arrive sooner tomorrow. Where shall you like to put him? In the paddock, box or meadow?" asked mum soothingly. Sophie beamed and said, "Paddock." I grimaced. "NO! she is NOT sharing a paddock with Sunset! NO, NO, NO!! It's not fair-Sunset gets his own paddock, so does Dad's horse, Cowboy gets the meadow all himself and mum, you horse, who hasn't been named in years gets to go in the barn alone! She can put Shadow in the box!" I said this all too quickly but Sophie and mum did understand. Sophie did a small pout and mum gave me a trouble stare which meant: You are being rude… I didn't care. Thank goodness. Mum had just left the room and said we can talk about it tomorrow morning. Mrs. Dan came in our room, in her oh-so-lovely flower gown. "Goodnight, Sophie poppet!" she greeted and turned up to me. "Oh, Edina." And left. I was glad.

Chapter 3

Today is a Wednesday morning. I feel unfresh from last night. Sophie had been snoring all night long so I couldn't get to sleep properly, especially in the top bunk. The alarm was set at 7:30am. Suddenly, Sophie got up slowly and yawned. "I'm going to check on Shadow. Maybe he's here. I'm going to put him in the paddock, OK?" Sophie was saying. I gaped at her and quickly climbed down the ladder. "You can't! put him in the box… please?" I say quickly. Sophie smirked and shook her head. "No can do. Shadow is better than stupid Sunset. And guess what? Mummy said that to prove better that Shadow is the best pony ever, me and you; Edina can do a simple cross-country course this morning. Mum has already set it up." She said smartly. I grumbled and went to brush my teeth. I didn't need Sophie mocking me all day.

After school, I saw Mrs. Dan coming to pick me up. Oh God, I thought. She was with Sophie in cool neat, flowery pattern clothes. Oh, and matching sunhats. It was embarrassing enough. I got told of twice in school. In English by Ms. Brunettes. "Edina Loth, sit up straight please. We are at school in learning time, not for a holiday!"… And once in science class… I wasn't really listening to what Ms. Smith was saying so I got caught up in a lovely daydream about me pushing Sophie and Mrs. Dan down a muddy sludge hill, then them sinking in mud and… "Miss. Loth! Since you are not listening and busy daydreaming and think you know everything, will you answer this? What becomes when the acid in liquid is finished?" growled Ms. Smith suddenly. I flinched and didn't know what to say. If only Sunset were here… suddenly, my best friend Arden nudged me in the ribs during math. She was sitting next to me so it was easy to cooperate. "Sleepover at mine on Friday? Bring Sunset in the horse truck!" she hissed. I nodded and smiled to myself. At least there was one thing that cheered me up.

Chapter 5

As I said, Sophie and her mum asked me to race after school and I refused. I am so not going to do it. Mum and I argued about Shadow and if she should share a paddock with Sunset or not. "It's NOT FAIR!" I yelled while I was tacking Sunset up for a trail ride with mum, Sophie and Mrs. Dan. "Totally! Each horse or pony gets its own stall or private place! Surely it wouldn't hurt for Shadow to be placed in a box!" I continued as I placed on the saddle. Mum shot back that it was a NEW guest we were talking about. Soon, we were out on the trail and hills, me riding Sunset, mum riding Cowboy, (Dad's horse.), Mrs. Dan riding on Shadow with Sophie at the back, Sophie's arms firmly wrapped around her mum's. Mum and I were still arguing loads. I tried not to scream too loud or the horses might jolt. Soon, Mrs. Dan got into the argument, too. Clearly, she was on mum's side. "Yes, my sweet Sophie and her horse, Shadow should be in a paddock. You don't won't to be mean don't you?" said Mrs. Dan in a mocking voice as we trotted on the trail path. We turned back as soon as we reached the lake. It was getting dark.

"Edina, did you feed Cowboy?!" dad shouted from the study. I froze as the theme of The Simpsons trailed off. "Oh, Sophie fed him!" I yelled back. Suddenly, the back door opened. Sophie was back from 'feeding' and 'nursing' the horses and ponies. "You have better not touched Sunset!" I warned as I squirmed in the sofa. Sophie stopped walking and looked at me with these big, innocent eyes. "No, course not. But you better check on Cowboy." She smirked and headed off upstairs. I grumbled and headed to the meadow. What HAD she down with my parent's horse? Well, it wasn't actually my parents. It was just an extra horse if anyone wants to ride one. Cowboy was in the meadow, same as always, bay colored and petite but… he vomited. He threw up.

I zipped up my coat and coaxed at Cowboy. "Hey, boy. Are you alright? Why were you vomiting? Ehg!" there was a patch of vomit on the grass. I tried not to step on it. It was at least 6:00pm so if should be fine. I checked Cowboy's food and water when I realized… Sophie had fed Cowboy 6 pounds of oats! Typical! He's stomach was fat and he looked pregnant but obvious he wasn't. I felt anger rush through me head to toe like thunder. I quickly ran back to the house and told mum and dad everything. Mrs. Dan was there, looking proud about what Sophie had done. "Really? We should get a vet tomorrow then. I heard the local vet doesn't do night shifts," said mum. Dad nodded and looked white as sheet. He usually uses Cowboy to round up cattle in the nearby working ranch. Mrs. Dan and Sophie looked as if they were trying not to giggle. I stormed out of the room and headed for the bathroom. How dare Sophie? I bet Mrs. Dan had been up all night to make up these horrid plans!

Chapter 6

I got dressed up for Thursday, but guess what? No school because school holidays are catching up! Sophie got up during the middle of the night for some reason. I heard the door close softly last night. She must have checked on Shadow but then I remembered what she'd done with Cowboy last night. Mum and dad didn't blame her because Sophie said that it was an accident. It WASN'T! Luckily, Dad called a vet to check on Cowboy this morning. I couldn't attend Arden's sleepover, exactly. I had to see Cowboy. In fact, I wish Sophie wasn't here. Life would be so much better without her. I am not speaking to her or her mother because she done something that really annoyed me. Today, when I was listening to one of my Taylor Swift CD's, Mum barged into the room and started to flap her arms everywhere saying that we need to shut down the barns because the news weather said that there was a due storm coming soon. So, I left my bedroom to help my close the barn and load up the horses before we have a big flood. And guess what? I should've known Sophie came in the room and started arranging my GOOD CD's with some heavy metal music her brother Josh had in his heavy metal rock bands. When I came back, I went to listen to the stereo but I guess the earphones were turned up the volume REALLY high so I ended up hearing LOUD, VERY LOUD HEAVY ROCK METAL music coming into my ears. It took a while to for my ears to stop hurting. I went into the kitchen and started yelling at Sophie. "HOW DARE YOU?!" I yelled. "You brat! You are going to pay soon!"

All Sophie did was a simple shrug and kept chewing on her alfalfa. I grumbled and went to the barn to check on the horses before the drought comes and something really ALSO BUGGED ME!!! I wanted to feed Sunset but I couldn't find any fresh hay. I called dad to come. He pulled out the leftovers hay. "Mm. I can only find moldy hay. I wonder where the fresh one is?" he said to himself. I gasped. Who would throw out some expensive, FRESH hay? Who would be eager to feed their own pony out-of-date, unfresh and moldy hay? My head clicked and anger flushed through me. Sophie! She must have thrown out the hay. I got so furious that I marched into the living room, where Sophie was watching 'Play-School'. I glared at her. "You are getting on my ruddy well nerves!" I scream at her. "You watch Play School which is technically for stupid babies with their stupid appetite when Shadow is STRAVING and so is the rest of the horses for hay and all you can do is mop around being an annoying baby bug?! Honestly, Sophie, how exactly OLD ARE YOU?" I added loudly. Her mother was with her and glowered at me. Mum came in as well and chewed me out for yelling at Sophie. I told mum what she had did. "Alright, but I think it was an accident!" mum snapped. "Wasn't it, Sophie?"

Sophie nodded and Mrs. Dan told my mum to leave with Sophie so she can talk privately with me. She closed the door and glowered at me.

Chapter 7

You ridiculous girl!" Mrs. Dan was saying. I made a run for it. I eyed an apple juice on the table. It was in a glass. Mrs. Dan taunted me some more when I had enough. I pounced on her like a panther ready to attack and pulled her curly fair hair. She screamed and tried to pull me off. When she did, I slumbered to the ground and hit my butt so hard that I felt like crying. Lots of screaming was happening and Mrs. Dan going wild. That's when I totally had it. I grabbed the glass of juice from the table and splashed it all over Mrs. Dan. Even of her face. Mum, dad and Sophie came storming in and said what the heck was going on? Mrs. Dan got furious then. "Sophie and I are leaving tomorrow, no excuses! Come on Sophie, I'll call the horse truckers to take Shadow home. But for now, Soph, please go and pack up!" Mrs. Dan hollered. Sophie gave me a dangerous glare which meant: When I see you again, I will pay you back the price!

As if I care.

The end.
