She's soooo coool!!

After school I got home as soon as possible. Mum was already in the kitchen chopping veggies, "Cathy's coming for supper", I said.

"well, ok, go and feed Jinx." said Mum. "and tidy up your room, these library book everywhere." I so didn't want to do these chores., Jinx, our black and white cat was purring slightly on the sofa. I got out a jar of milk and pour it in Jinx's red bowl.

As I got to my room, it was very messy, books are everywhere,there was a mountain of clothes and " total Girl" magazines are all my desk. I threw everything in my spare wardrobe, but my room still looked like a dump. Then I burst out of my room. I knocked on Joe's door. No reply.

"Lemen in, you dirty idiot"! I groaned.

Joe opened to door holding a comic book, he hit me with it on the head. " I'll let you out!" he said with a cheeky smile. Then he started to text someone, in the corner of my eye, it said To: Rama.

Ok , I have no idea who is Rama. It sounds like a rams name. Mmmm... nice thought! Joe might be texting to a ram. He's such a idiot, I had to stop worrying about the ladybug, I'll worry about it after supper.

The door bell rang. I rushed to open it.Ohmigawed! It was Sonona and Cathy! But Cathy didn't say "hi" or anything. Sonona was nice. She's soooooooo cool! i thought.

Something New

The next day I stop worrying about the lady bug. When I walked to the front of school gate, Cathy looked well weird. I could tell her face- glum, curious and strange.

"So", I started, no way would I mention the lady bug, "ur, anything new?" I finally blurted out.

Cathy started at me, "well, there is something new."

Then I was worried, would she blurt out the lady bug?

"I'm going away to Melbourne, just for a week." Cathy said.

Oh, Cathy going to Melbourne? "Well, I got something new too," I muttered, " My brother, Joe has girlfriend, I mean at least I think it is, she's coming for supper...., maybe you should come." But Cathy didn't looked pleased, she wasn't happy either, instead she just nodded.

The rest of the day was fine. Luckily, Sandra and Emma were there fussing about bad news and good news, "My Mum earned a lot of money lately, her fashion career is great." Emma's Mum is a fashion designer.Whenever Emma has a birthday party, fashion and clothes is what she get's.

"Our TV has been broken down, but we're going to get it back in next month". said Sandra.

After school I explained everything to Cathy's Mum. "ok, I'll pick you up at 8:00pm." said Mrs Staterffer to Cathy. "No, 7:50pm" said Cathy.

Huh?! 7:50pm! Cathy doesn't want to be with me for that long!

Chapter7

"Oh, um, this is,Kristyer. I, I'm Joe's sisters, um....ur... Can i take a message?"

Just then, Joe came tramping down the stairs. I had to act, and now.

"Hey, Rat! I couldn't get on the internet, who's on?" he called.

"It's Sononal! She wants to speak to you!" Joe snatched the phone off me. As I went upstairs, I hear Joe's voice, "cool!! dinner? ok, but we don't have dinner, supper, ok? 7:30pm".

Hectic! Joe is going to invite Sonona for supper! I could hardly want.

"Mum, Mum!" I called to Mum who is making supper.

"Joe is going to invite Sonona for supper!'

Mum looked thoughtful, "Joe! come here please!" Mum yelled.

Joe came thundering down the stairs, "what?" he said groweling.

"I think you know what," said Mum, about to snap. "you're going to invite whats her-name to supper, that girl sounds a bit Gothic".

I paused again about 15 seconds, "Gothic" I asked.

"That's right" snapped Mum.

"But she's not Gothic style, you saw her before, Mum, in the cafe, when Kristyre was at school!" I paused the third time, you saw her Mum?"

"Exactly!" said Mum.

"So for supper?" asked Joe firmly.

"Well,ok, but if she wear's Gothic stuff, no, so tell her that!" snapped Mum.

Joe got out his mobile and stormed out of the room. Mum looked at me , " you better not think about that when your a teenager, Kristyer."

"Well, now I'm not going to have friends, cause mend the ladybug"!

Mum sighed and got back to cooking. when I went upstairs, I heard Joe burst out, "you don't have to come."......

Chapter 6

Oh no!

"What's wrong honey?" asked mom, running to me, holding a spoon. I showed her the lady bug.

"Oh no, Maybe Joe could fix them. He's brilliant at mending things. Stop crying, it's not the end of the world."

Huh? What does she know? of course It is the end of the world. I took the lady bug upstairs. I knocked on Joe's bedroom door.

"Come in." he called.

Joe, I've broken Cathy's ladybug, please mend it!" I pleaded.

"Don't worry, she can find another one in the wild." He can see that I've been crying, so wants to joke around.

"Can you mend it?" I asked , show him. I was dead worried.

"Look, the plastic is smashed, the winder is bent, you'll have to throw it away." 

My mouth flung open, "But they're Cathy's!, she only lent it to me. she'll kill me!"

Joe ignored me, and got back to his work, this wasn't helping at all.

"What are you making?" I asked.

"Pencil that can fly." He said, "Now scam out your rat!" 

I hate Joe, I want to kill him. As I entered the kitchen, the phone rang, I Prayed to god several times, please not  let it be Cathy. Instead, a posh voice spoke.

"Hello, this is Joe's girlfriend, Sonona, Can I speak to Joe?"

I paused for a minute-- Joe has a girlfriend, why didn't he tell his family? I need to introduce myself.

Chapter 5

Great idea!

The next day, Cathy brought them to school. Oh Merry! Oh Joy! She even made it walk across Mrs Brido's desk. Mrs brido laughed out loudly.

"I decide to call my lady bug a name, I call him Groovely." Said Cathy at lunch.

"they're so cool, I tried to explain them to my mom yesterday, But she couldn't imagine what I was talking about." I signed.

"borrow them if you like." said Cathy.

"Really? Really and truly? Can I ?" I was thrilled of the idea.

"Sure. Just take care of them, OK?"

"I promise, I'll give him a great time." I promised.

"Fine." said Cathy.

After school, Cathy lent Groovely to me.

"You can go home with Aunt Kristyer." she said. she even kissed him goodbye.I waited impatiently.

As she lent it over to me, she smiled,"Promise?"

"Promise."

I walked home very fast holding Groovely. I Couldn't wait to show mom and dad. Joe would love them. When I got home, mom's car was parked outside. Great, I can show her the ladybug.

As I ran up the path, then--disaster! I tripped on my own feet, Groovely hit a rough rock, crushed, twisted and wrong. I sat up holding him, the plastic was smashed, and the winder was crashed off and wrong.

There was only one thing to do: CRY.

Chapter 4

I'm bored

Sunday was a bit dull. It was raining which made it worse. I had to do chores such as cleaning my room, life seemed a bit flat. I flopped on the sofa playing my DS, but I only had one game after all. Then I went to the kitchen to see if any snacks (lolly)  were available.

"What's wrong, Kristyer?" asked dad, who just came in.

"I'm bored."

"Great, you can help me vacuuming!" said dad in a way adults have boring ideas when their children are bored.

I signed, walk away, got out my art materials. There were some card left and plenty of rough paper. I drew a few doodles with crown's on them, but it looked silky, too silky. Then I did a pair of lips, which were really like a sofa, but it wasn't  my idea. Then I remembered the plastic ladybug. I did an eye with a ladybug's head, but it looked gross. The only thing that cheered me up was the plastic dancing lady bug.

Aaaammaazzing!

As we reached to Cathy's home, her mom, Mrs Stateffer answered the door as soon as I rang it,

"Hello Kristyer, come in, they are just in the lounge room." 

As I entered, Cathy didn't see me or hear me. She was so busy unwrapping a doll, something like " Bratz" or " brat".

When Cathy was throws at party-theres no stopping back. There's loud music of her favourite song, called "Rock Angels" by the "Bratz" and wrapping paper everywhere."

"Oh my God! Kristyer, here, what's the present?" Shouted Cathy, the glass window almost shattered into pieces. I handed her the presents.

"Oh good! This card is so pretty! Thanks Kristyer." She yelled, "And it's such a nice book! I'm going to be it to my diary." she rated again. I was thrilled that I got her a proper present.

Just then Sandra came in holding up a big bag. Cathy got out what was inside, "Aaamaazzing!" She shrieked. Why didn't she shrieked at my gift? It was as big as anyone's. I thought.

Sandra's present was a white t-shirt with a peacock in the middle. "It's because you star sign is virgo!" said Sandra, "you can make the eyes flash." As she turned it on, the eye is flashed, with green light.

I had to admit it is great. and the birth cake is great as well, it's delicious. 

Then we played with Cathy's favorite present: A dancing ladybug which you can wind up it.

"It's such a funny gift, Emma." said Cathy winging it up. Emma smiled. How can Emma be so negative! Beep, Beep, The orange lady bug danced everywhere -- even it jumped on the sofa. Mrs staterffer laughed, her glasses almost broke into pieces.

"steady up !" called Sandra laughing.

I had to admit that it was cool, funny and great. I wish I had a pair, But red obviously.

Cathy had lot's of presents in  very huge boxes. I peeped  everywhere to look for my card -- sofa, TV, bench, It's not any where. But I got distracted by the ladybug, it was jumping on my  head. "You look soooo funny!" laughed Cathy, she laughed so hard that she fell on the floor kicking her feet everywhere, "HA HA HA HA HA HA!"

After the party, Cathy whispered to me, "Thanks so much for your present! I hung your card on my bedroom wall, Thanks, Bye." 

I was so glad she rated i t. 

Mom collected me. she was anxious that I had enjoyed the party.
