Music rules
By Christine Wang
Chapter 1
I have my music lessons at four today straight after school. I play piano and guitar. My name is Keira and I love music. I told you what instruments I really play. Piano is tops because it's real easy for me but guitar? Guitar's cool but I get confused with the chords. My teacher for guitar, Len always says this: "It's important to learn your theory, Keira. Otherwise, you'll never be a real guitarist!" OK, music theory is easier than math but you know, piano theory is actually tricky but I think guitar is trickier. I always forget the letters on the strings because it's not like piano where the notes from middle C are just like, D, E, F, G, A, B and so on. Guitar's notes are all mixed up. Today at school, Juliana, my best friend with an annoying side, Ricky and Sylvia (I hate Sylvia! Rich, snobby as well as nasty equals hate!) Decided we can make up a music band and every time at assemble; we can play each of our new albums. "We can be like, so, famous at school!" Ricky kept cheering. Juliana said that we have to decide on our first album. Sylvia says it's quite opposite to ace because Juliana says we all have to work together on the album song. "Well, if I like, have to do it if I don't wanna, you're looking for trouble, aren't you, Juliana Banana?" Juliana rolls her eyes and sighs. "OK, this is how it is for our first single- Keira," she says smiling at me. "You can play guitar then piano on second alb." I nodded quickly. Ricky was going to play petrol drums and well, Sylvia? She wants to sing but everyone knows that she has an awful voice. Juliana can sing. But Sylvia groaned and checked her nails which were crimson sunset. "Fine, Sylvia, you may be a singer with me…" we all finally groaned.
