Kat was thinking about getting a pet. But don't be fooled. She doesn't just want an ordinary pet to look after. She wants a pet from Magic World. She has a black cat called Gemmy that she bought from Magic World. But she wanted another pet. But who'd know that this 'pet' would get her into heaps of trouble. Also, Lindsey finds out that she is a fairy, which puts a bomb in the next book…
Chapter One
"Hey, Linds!" hissed Kat sharply to get Lindsey's attention. "Can you come with me to Magic World to buy me a Magic Pet? I'd die for one!" There were in the middle of a history class lesson. Lindsey bit her lip. She already got sent to the principal's office for talking to Kat and just before that she got in big trouble for teasing Billy Frocker, a boy with giant freckles. I don't wanna get in trouble again! Thought Lindsey. So she ripped a page from her exercise book and scribbled on it: At lunch OK? We can only be gone for one hour and forty five mins. Kat read the note and smiled. "Ring!" the bell rang ten minutes later. The two girls orbed to Magic World in the Lab Room. The Lab Room was usually dark with no lessons until Thursday. "Let's go to Hailey's Magical Pets!" gasped Kat, when she caught her eye on a beautiful pink and white unicorn and fire breathing baby dragon. Lindsey sighed. Time to face her arched enemy.
"Hello Kat!" Hailey Summers smiled at Kat. Hailey Summers was a young teenage girl who graduated from Magic Jibbers College. When she saw Lindsey, she rolled her big green eyes. Then she turned to Kat. "What do you need?" she asked sweetly. "Can I look at the baby dragons first?" asked Kat ideally. "Sure! We have eleven baby dragons and one fully grown dragon." Objected Hailey. Kat nodded and looked at the dragons in the cages. "They are all so cute. But I want a dragon; I suppose I have to choose this little male jester. She's so cute with the big innocent eyes!" Said Kat. Next, they looked at the unicorns. There was only two more because everyone knows that unicorns are very rare animals. "I like both of them: The one with black coat and blue mane and the one with pink coat and blue mane. They are all very convincing," said Kat. Hailey asked if she could let Kat see the cats and dogs but Kat refused. She wanted a baby dragon. "Um, Kat. I think next math class is going to start. We should get going." Stammered Lindsey. "Oh, don't flatter yourself, Lindpoop." Hissed Hailey nastily. Lindsey gasped. "Don't EVER call me that!" she glowered. "Girls, I like this male jester dragon. I want to buy it and look after it with my cat, Gemmy. How many coins, Hailey?" asked Kat. Hailey said it was 27 coins but since you're from the non-magical world… I'll give you 10% discount." Answered Hailey. So, Kat paid the coins and took her baby jester dragon with her in a cage. They walked through the streets of Magic World. "Kat, are you taking that to school?" asked Lindsey nervously. Kat nodded. "I'm going to hide little Flame in my school bag. After all, he is just a little baby dragon and won't do much harm will he, mm?" answered Kat. But Lindsey wasn't so sure…
