Wonder-World- Magical Wishes

Chapter One

Kat and Lindsey pushed the high school doors open. It was a beautiful sunny Monday morning and Blue Waters High has just started their first class. "We're late again!" groaned Lindsey. Kat sighed. Every day she and Lindsey seem to be late because of Magic World's big morning must-be-heard assemble. Kat and Lindsey were ordinary people. They were people who had magic. You can say a witch, but not as in witch-witch. They are not exactly witches. They are just ordinary people who have magic.

"You are late!" growled Mrs. Harrid when she stopped writing on the blackboard. "Sorry, Mrs. Harrid," confessed Kat. Lindsey didn't look sorry. She felt as if the teacher was blaming them. They don't know about Magic World's big morning talks! Then they'll understand! Thought Lindsey. Lindsey and Kat sat in the empty seats at the back. Kat got out her social study books while Lindsey was too busy scowling. "Linds, get out your social studies!" Kat hissed quietly. Lindsey rolled her blue eyes and fished through her bag while Mrs. Harrid was teaching. Oh no! She thought. I can't find my social studies! Mrs. Harrid will kill me! But Lindsey had a plan. She did a practically dumb thing: She used her magic. Yup, just a click of a finger, twitch of a spell and a clone of her social studies book comes up to her. Lucky no one saw! "Lindsey Waters! Can you answer this question on the board? And why don't you have your social studies book open yet? I'm sure I gave you enough time," Mrs. Harris screeched. Now, Lindsey was speechless. "I-uh… I um… I am sorry Mrs. Harris. I guess I haven't been studying too much…" stammered Lindsey. Kat rolled her eyes. So, to save her friend, she recited a spell in her mind and ring! The bell rang loudly and everyone knew it was lunch time. Lindsey raced out of the classroom in a flash.
