Letters
By Christine Caraline-Rosaline Wang
I have always received letters almost every week. Most are from my pen pals- Lucy and Nadia. Some from my granny and aunt and cousins from overseas. Some letters I've absolutely treasured. Some I felt like screwing them up and shoving them in the dust bin. My first letter was when I was about five. It was from my granny that loved me so much. Ready to see? Well, here it is…
Dear my beloved Janine,
This is from your loving grandmother from England. I have missed you very much even if you haven't seen me, but I saw you the day you were born. You were such a sweetie. Even though you can't see me or met me before, I have met you. Perhaps you can come to a little trip in England, London Old Bailey to visit me? I'm sure Roof will love to see you. (Roof is my little black Scottish terrier dog who just loves a little bark!) Your great-aunt will love to see you along with your great-cousins- Lindsey and Sean and Birch and Lily and Gina and Romeo and Sarah. Yes, a lot of children if you haven't noticed. Bye for now,
Your granny
Somehow, that letter made me feel weird. One, no I don't want to visit England to see her or my cousins. Two- I have no idea what to reply back so I just sent her a short email saying things like, 'I love you' or 'See you in England.' That was the first message ever…
Hey, it's me, Caraline Chrissy! Well, Christine Caraline Rosaline Wang to be more precise. I want you to know this week's Pop Quiz! Have you been reading my published books so far? If you haven't, I suggest you read from 'Wonderful Wishes' and so on. Here's this week's Pop Quiz before we continue the story…
Pop Quiz!
- In the story of 'Magical Wishes', what did main wish did Lindsey own?
- In the story 'A song on Tuesday' who'd quit to join the School's Dance Productions?
Well, how did you go? If you want answers, I don't want people cheating or whatever, so if you really want to find out and win a fantastic prize, make a comment down the bottom and ask me for the answers to win a cool prize. But if you can't make a comment, mark this story down the bottom an average and so on. Good luck!
My pen pal, Lucy was from Italy and she knows English! Good, eh? Here's the message:
Hey, girlfriend, how are you doing? My boyfriend, Tom has dumped me. I feel so low that I just wrote this letter. Hopes and dreams have failed because I thought we could survive together through high school without breaking up and hopefully, marry. But, he said I was not good enough because he dumped me for a blonde cheerleader. Now, I am crying. Bye,
Sad and unhopeful Lucy (14)
That was like, OMG so sad! I felt like crying with her. A tear did shed on the paper. Not lying.
Hey, it's me again, Caraline Chrissy. Are you having a good time? Well, for the pop quiz, the prizes are mostly advantages. Big ones. I'll be back soon! Xo, CC
